Volume 1 Chapter 19: Surprise!

What is going on right now? Keith rolled around his bed as he thought about what was happening. These last few days were strange. He realized the maids and butlers were running around the Manor. Sophia and the rest met him one at a time.

As he wondered, he stared at Aria. Aria had now become a resident of his crib. It didn't matter where Keith went; Aria would follow him around. 

Guess I should practice some magic. He was told not to by Sophia. But he couldn't help but do it. He started to write in the air with mana. William's trick was pretty fun. As he finished his drawing, it was Aria. It looked smudged up because of his pudgy fingers. But it was enough.  

Aria stared at the image. It didn't know how to react as it continued to stare. After some time, it seemed to know Keith drew it. It nudged its head onto Keith's face. No problem! Keith hugged it. It was a great way to practice magic. And when he was going to do something else, 

"Kwak!" Aria screeched out. And Keith immediately waved his hand at the mana, dispersing it. He quickly put on a cute face as he saw May and the other maids entering.

"The young master is awake."

"May!" May picked up Keith and started to shake him lightly. Keith let out a small giggle. May hugged Keith. 

"Do you want to play, Young Master?" "Mmhmm." Keith knew how to say some words now. The maids and Keith left his room. When they were heading to the garden,

"Young Master! Let's play inside today!" May immediately turned around, trying to return to his room. 

Huh? What's going on? May had sweat down her face. He tried to look up from his shoulders to see what was going on. But what he saw was two maids smiling at him!

"The young master is so cute!" "Young Master's cheeks are so rosy."

"..." There is definitely something up. Keith felt it. 

"Aria!" Keith shouted Aria's name. Aria nodded as it flew across the maids to see what was behind them.

"Hey! Don't do that!" The butler screamed out. May and the maids turned around. What Keith saw was a butler holding onto some things. 

"Thawt?" Keith questioned with a cute voice.

"Ahh! These are new cups, Young Master." The butler quickly explained with sweat dripping down his face. 

Is it? Keith wondered. Aria flew back to Keith's side. May quickly brought Keith back to his room. They played for quite some time before Keith fell asleep. 

And that was when they moved! May quickly ran into William's office, "Master, we have a situation!"

"Hmm?" William's expression turned weird. 

"Aria was about to reveal everything to the young master." Aria and Keith were close. Seriously close. It listened to all of his commands without a thought. But that also meant it was going to expose the party! 

"I will deal with it." After May left, William sighed and called his familiar into the room. Aria flew in through the window. 

"Aria. You can't follow Keith's orders for the next few weeks." The blizzard owl's name was Aria. With how many times Keith had called it that, it stuck onto the bird. And it seemed to like being called that.

"Kwak!" Aria gave him a menacing glare. 

William explained, "In a few days, it will be Keith's birthday. I want it to be a surprise for him. You listening to his order would jeopardize this."

When Aria heard that, it paused and didn't say anything. It nodded its head and flew off without saying anything. 

"..." William held his head. I hope it doesn't do anything strange.

Where did Aria go? Keith held onto a stuffed animal he got a few months ago. It was strange. Aria hadn't come back to his room these last few days. While he was lost in thought, 

"My goodness!"

"How could someone look so cute!" 

The maids exclaimed in awe. Keith was dressed in a neat outfit. It was a black suit with shorts. There was even a hat to match with the outfit. 

"Are you done changing Keith?" Hearing the maids, Sophia entered the room. There was no need to answer her question. She stared at Keith. It didn't take a second as she dashed over and hugged him. She kissed his cheeks, 

"You look so cute!" Her son was cute in the first place. But now, he was double. No, maybe even triple that!

"Mom! Stahp!" Keith was getting kissed all around his face by Sophia. It took ten minutes till she stopped. He noticed it, 

"Mom is beauwtiful!" Keith praised. Sophia wore a deep blue navy dress. It reminded him of the oceans. 

Sophia smiled, "Thank you, Dear. Let's go now." Like that, they left the room. As they walked, "Dear, I'm going to put this on." 

"Hmm?" That's a blindfold. 

"It's a surprise." 

"Owk." Sophia placed the blindfold on him. He couldn't see anything and let Sophia lead him away. It took a few seconds before he heard,

"Surprise!"
