Five hundred years ago, the world experienced an unimaginable catastrophe.

From the destruction and suffering, some humans began to manifest unprecedented powers. They could control the elements, enhance their physical abilities to fight the monsters, and even wield magic rivaling that of the demons themselves. They became known as Hunters.
With their newfound strength, the Hunters led humanity's counterattack. They waged a long war against the darkness, gradually sealing the rift in the sky until it finally disappeared. The world, once on the brink of annihilation, slowly began to recover—but it was no longer the same.
